Before you begin
Realm and progression
What type of realm will it be?
The realm will be free and PvE, with x1 experience, gold, loot, reputation, professions and honor. Voluntary PvP and level-appropriate battlegrounds will be enabled. Their bugs should also be reported. There will be no cross-faction features.
Which classes and mechanics will be used?
Every phase uses MoP 5.4.8 build 18414 classes, abilities, talents and systems. Azeroth retains the post-Cataclysm zones and quests found in that client. Pandaren, monks and the Wandering Isle will be available from the start; death knights unlock with WotLK.
What happens at the level cap?
At the phase cap, experience stops accumulating until the next opening. Level-appropriate content, including dungeons and battlegrounds, will be enabled. All unlocked content will remain available permanently.
How will raids open?
There will be a pause before each expansion’s maximum level. When levels 60, 70, 80, 85 and 90 open, raids will unlock progressively. At level 90, the Timeless Isle and legendary cloak requirements will also follow phased releases.
How long will each phase last?
One person currently develops and tests Tandra. Progression will be extremely slow: checking and repairing a raid can take months. The administration will approve each opening based on playability and Blizzlike fidelity, without fixed deadlines or an automatic percentage threshold.
Will there be transfers or character wipes?
All players will start from the beginning. Character or account transfers from other servers will not be accepted: playing through the content also helps detect regressions after other fixes. Characters and their progress on the game realm will not be deleted.
Client, accounts and access
Can I play now?
The Wandering Isle works correctly in the tests performed. The worgen starting zone is being reviewed; the goblin zone will follow. Completing these reviews is the planned step before opening the server to everyone. No opening date has been set.
What will the launcher do?
Tandra will have a launcher to download the client, update files, view news and server status, and access the website. AddOns will be optional; you can also install your own compatible AddOns. No official download is available yet.
Can I use my own client?
If you already have a MoP 5.4.8 build 18414 client, setting the realmlist will be enough once connection details are published. The client will maintain a Blizzlike experience.
Where will I create my account?
The same account is used for the website and game. Registration and login use the FusionCMS modules enabled by the administration. Email verification depends on the selected configuration.
Can I recover or change my password?
Account security options depend on the features enabled by the administration. Do not share your account: the administration is not responsible for recovery after account sharing.
How many accounts can I have?
A maximum of two accounts per player will be allowed, with verified exceptions for internet cafés. Account sharing will be prohibited. Multiboxing will not be banned outright, but abuse may be sanctioned.
Repack and updates
When can I download the repack?
The repack will be free and support local play, including with friends. Its first public release will arrive when the server opens the level 29 cap and will contain the first version of the 1–19 phase. No public repack exists yet.
How will the repack be updated?
The repack will always stay one phase behind the server and retain its phase’s first version until the next release. For example: server cap 49, repack at the first cap 39 version. A tool to update without losing local characters will be explored; it is not available yet.
Help, reports and rewards
Where should I report bugs?
The website BugTracker will be publicly readable. Logging in will be required to submit reports. A private option will cover exploits and other sensitive issues. The system is not enabled yet.
What should a report include?
Include location, affected quest or NPC, character name, reproduction steps, observed and expected results. Add screenshots or video if helpful, and check for an existing report first. More useful information makes investigation easier. Do not include passwords or private data.
How can I contact the team?
Discord tickets will handle player reports, moderation or administration contact, and sanction appeals. Game bugs belong in the BugTracker. Discord is still being organized; support will begin in Spanish and English and may expand as the community grows.
Will donations or voting grant advantages?
Playing will be free. Donations and voting will offer rewards without progression advantages or exclusive conveniences. Contributions will sustain the project and, if savings allow, speed up development. The shop and voting are not available yet.
What will the shop offer?
The planned catalog focuses on pets, tabards, appearances and illusion shirts. Appearances may use styles from later phases. Pet battles still need checking; the final selection must preserve equal advantages for players.
How can I contribute?
All help is welcome: testing, development, moderation, translation, design or documentation. Candidates will have an initial meeting. Only accepted collaborators may view an older, private code version; access to current work will depend on trust and responsibilities.
The Tandra project
There is a long-term intention to open the source code. If the project can no longer continue, the aim is to release the work so others can carry it forward.
